Rachael Hegarty
Rachael Hegarty is a Dubliner. Her debut collection, Flight Paths Over Finglas, won the 2018 Shine Strong Award. A child survivor of the Dublin Talbot Street Bomb, her collection, May Day 1974, (Salmon, 2019) has received international acclaim. Her third collection, Dancing with Memory, (Salmon, 2021) is a ballroom of memory for her mother who lives with Alzheimer’s. Educated in Finglas, Dublin, the U. Mass Bostonians, the Trinity M.Phillers and the Ph.D. Magicians at Queens. Rachael’s kids say she uses F-words too much: Finglas, Feminism and feckin’ poetry!
Jane Robinson
Jane Robinson is a poet, and biologist from Dublin. A former Strokestown International Poetry Prize winner, her first collection, Journey to the Sleeping Whale, (Salmon, 2018) received the Shine-Strong Award. Recent essays are in, Skylight, 47-14 (2021) and in, Irish Women Poets Rediscovered, (M. Johnston & C. Linnie, Eds. CUP, forthcoming). A collaboration with Irish composer, Malachy Robinson, on a poem sequence 'For the Atoll', premiers at the Killaloe Music Festival, Limerick, Ireland in June 2021.
