3 x two-hour online workshop sessions with author Nicola Harlow

Workshop Description

Workshops will explore the challenges and pitfalls a writer faces when working on a novel and offer tips and strategies on how to overcome them. The three workshops will consist of:

  • Setting off - how to plan and research your novel, and write your opening chapters.
  • Getting Lost - what to do if you lose the plot in the middle - literally!
  • The home straight - how to write a satisfying ending.

Workshop Dates

The workshops will be hosted online using Zoom meeting software on the following dates. 

  • Monday 26th July 2021, 1430hrs to 1630hrs
  • Tuesday 27th July 2021, 1430hrs to 1630hrs
  • Thursday 29th July 2021, 1430hrs to 1630hrs

Your £66 fee covers all three workshop sessions.

Workshop Connection Details

After booking your place the tutor will email you with the meeting link a week before the workshop begins.

You will require a device capable of running Zoom Meeting Software with a functioning screen, microphone, speakers and a stable connection to the internet.

All workshop students are advised to test their Zoom connection prior to the workshop. Refunds will not be given for issues caused by your hardware, software or internet connectivity.

Nicola Harlow

Nicola is a published novelist, short story writer and broadcaster living in West Yorkshire’s Bronte country. She is currently working on a collection of short stories: The Calendar House. She is an Associate Lecturer in Creative Writing at the Open University.
