These workshops are aimed at helping participants develop their creative writing skills in order to produce life writing accounts that are dynamic, engaging and well-written. Using a combination of lecture, exercise and workshopping, participants will encounter the main approaches to memoir writing. The three workshops will cover:
The workshops will be hosted online using Zoom meeting software on the following dates.
Your £66 fee covers all three workshop sessions.
After booking your place the tutor will email you with the meeting link a week before the workshop begins.
You will require a device capable of running Zoom Meeting Software with a functioning screen, microphone, speakers and a stable connection to the internet.
All workshop students are advised to test their Zoom connection prior to the workshop. Refunds will not be given for issues caused by your hardware, software or internet connectivity.
Nessa is a Dublin based novelist, poet, editor and creative writing tutor with the Open University. She has published six books of poetry, and recently published a memoir of her grandfather, The Branchman, an Irish Civil War veteran and member of the Garda Siochána plain clothes branch, 1925 to 1945.
