The Twenty-Third John Hewitt International Summer School at The Marketplace Theatre, Armagh with Louis de Bernieres, Eavan Boland, Terry Eagleton, Michael Longley, Blake Morrison, Joseph O’Connor, Sharon Olds, Glenn Patterson….. and many more, in a week-long celebration of culture and the arts with lectures, readings, discussions, writing, talks, drama, music & entertainment. |

The John Hewitt Spring Festival

This year's Spring Festival takes place on Saturday 10th April 2010 at Carnlough’s Londonderry Arms Hotel on the Antrim coast.
This, the eighth John Hewitt Spring Festival, offers an exciting day of literature and the arts with Linda Grant, Ciaran Hinds, John Walsh, Frank Ormsby, Sinead Morrissey, Hector McDonnell, Anne-Marie Fyfe and C.L. Dallat.
The theme for this year's Spring Festival and Summer School is "Back to Uncertainty: Considering Other Possibilities".

The John Hewitt Bar 10th Anniversary event

The John Hewitt Society in partnership with Féile an Phobail is delighted to present a Poetry Reading in The John Hewitt Bar, Belfast to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Opening of the Bar. The event takes place on Sunday 7th February 2010 at 4pm (Doors open at 3.30pm) with readings by celebrated poets Frank Ormsby and Eilish Martin.
